NEW FEATURES OF THE CRESCENDO COMMUNITY CHORUS WEBSITE
This website has two new features: a directory and a calendar.
Users of the site fall into two classes: members and the general public.
Members include all people who are singing with us now, and membership will automatically expand to include anybody who registers for the Spring ’25 or future sessions.
Only members can see the directory and member-only events on the calendar.
Only members who are singing in the current session can see the practice aids, scores, and other resources for rehearsing and performing the repertory of the current session.
To see the restricted features of the website, members must sign in. Please see PROCEDURES FOR MEMBERS to find out how to sign in, how to update your personal data, and how to register for a session.

How to tell if you are already a member
Go to the Member Sign-In page. Put in your email address, click the little circular Request Password checkbox, then click the Request Password button.
If you are not a member, a message “No account found with this email address” will pop up. (Is it possible you are a member under a different email address?) If you are not a member, and you want to register for the upcoming session, please follow the instructions for REGISTERING FOR A SESSION: NON-MEMBERS.
If the “No account …” message does not pop up, then you are a member. Check your email for a temporary password, and continue with the signing-in procedures below. If you want to sing with us in the upcoming session, you still have to register; see the instructions Registering for a session: existing members below.
PROCEDURES FOR MEMBERS
Signing in
Go to the Member Sign-In page by clicking on the “Member Sign-In” button at the top of the page. Fill in your email address.
When you sign in for the first time, you will not have a password. Use the Request Password feature to have a password emailed to you.
If a message “No account found with this email address” pops up, you are not yet a member. If you want to register for the upcoming session, please follow the instructions for REGISTERING FOR A SESSION: NON-MEMBERS.
Copy that password and use it to finish signing in. As soon as you sign in, you will see a link to change your password. Please do change it; the password you were issued will consist of eleven lower-case letters and digits, and be highly non-memorable. Observe good security practices: choose a password of sufficient length with multiple types of characters—upper- and lower-case letters, digits, punctuation, and other special characters; and keep it where it will be private but easily accessible to you; don’t reuse other passwords.
Press the Save & Continue button to save it.
This will take you to the Profile tab.
Go back to the About tab and, if there is information there, check the information we have for you. If it’s missing items, or out of date, fix it and click Save & Continue.
On the Profile tab, you will see some privacy settings: you can block other members from seeing your directory entry altogether; you can suppress the street address (though not the city); and you can suppress the phone number. We hope you will not be too shy about sharing your data with other members, but the privilege is yours.
PHOTO! If you are willing, we urge you to upload a photo of yourself to the Directory Photo box. That way other members who do not know your name can search for you by scrolling through the directory and inspecting photos.
Finally, clicking the Sign Out tab will sign you out. Please use this feature if you have been looking at our website on a public computer, such as at an airport or coffee shop, or are worried about somebody else seeing member-only information on your device. Otherwise you can stay signed in.
Registering for a session: existing members
Previously, every time you registered, you filled out a form with the data we are interested in. People who are not members will still have to do this the first time. But once you are a member the routine is different:
Sign in on the Member Sign-In page.
Make sure your data on the Member Sign-In page is up to date.
Go to the Calendar page.
Look for the multi-day registration event, and click on one of the links in that event. (There is one link for each day of the registration period; it doesn’t matter which you click.)
Click the Register for the session button.
In the Qty field, select quantity 1. (This is silly, but bear with us. The company that provides this feature sees our sessions as “events” for which you are buying one “ticket.”) Then click the Register for the session button again. This will take you to the payment page.
It would help our board volunteers enormously if you can PAY AS YOU REGISTER to sing in a particular session. If you must delay payment, you can return to the payment page later by going to crescendochorus.org/participation-fee.
REGISTERING FOR A SESSION: NON-MEMBERS
Click the I want to register for the next Session link on the Sing with Us page.
Fill out the form and submit it. You will be sent to a payment page, which explains our pay-what-you-can and other policies.
It would help our board volunteers enormously if you can PAY AS YOU REGISTER to sing in a particular session. If you must delay payment, you can return to the payment page later by going to crescendochorus.org/participation-fee.
Successfully registering will make you a member.
If you try to register by the non-member method, but you are already a member, a message informing you of that will pop up, giving you three options:
Go to my account: this will just send you to the Member Sign-In page.
Sign up for a new account: this will sign you out and allow you to fill out the form. Unless you are registering for a partner, you should probably not be doing this. You must supply a different email address; the system will not allow you to set up two accounts with the same address.
Cancel: this will leave you on the registration page, but without any form to fill out.
