Crescendo Community Chorus (CCC)

SINGER POLICY

By participating in CCC, singers agree to accept this policy.

EXPECTATIONS

Singing

• Although CCC is a non-audition chorus, familiarity and previous experience with music such as singing, playing an instrument or reading music notation would be helpful but is not required.
• Singers are expected to attend rehearsals on time or participate via Zoom when attendance is not possible. Some practice outside of rehearsal will be necessary, and practice recordings are provided.
• Singers are encouraged to ask for help from the Director or other singers, when necessary.

Pay What You Can Policy

• “Pay What You Can” means everyone pays something.
• The budget and the Pay What You Can fee structure is calculated on the number of committed singers for each 8-week session with concluding performance. We've learned that an average fee payment of $130 enables CCC to pay for music, venues, miscellany, and—most importantly—the artists, including the Director and Accompanist with whom we work.
• While full fee payment (or more) is always welcome, less is ABSOLUTELY fine. We want everyone to be able to sing!
• Singers are expected to make their fee payment concurrent with their registration.
• Refunds to singers who are unable to complete an 8-week rehearsal schedule are made at the discretion of CCC.  

Music

Music is “on loan” to singers, and will be returned to CCC at the end of each session.

Concert Dress

Singers will be advised about dress requirements for events and performances. Current dress is either white on the top and black on the bottom or all black.

Masking

Masks are optional as of the date of this Policy, but CCC will require masking when necessary for the health of all participants.

Personal Responsibility

CCC is not responsible for damage to personal belongings or to persons before, during or after rehearsals and performances.

OTHER

Insurance

CCC holds Commercial General Liability Insurance.

Data Protection

Personal and private information collected from singers for CCC communication will not be passed to any third party, except with the express agreement of each member.

Media

CCC may take video and photographs of singers during rehearsals and events for use in promotion, advertising, and publicity.

Amendments

CCC reserves the right to amend/alter the terms and conditions of this policy at any time without notice, and will communicate such changes to its list of singers as soon as possible.
